About Flyability
Flyability is a Swiss drone manufacturer with one goal in mind: no more humans doing dangerous jobs. Flyability drones are built to operate indoors, in complex and confined spaces. Flyability’s latest drone, the Elios 3, was launched in 2023 with 2 payloads: a radiation detection payload and a surveying LiDAR payload. Flyability is headquartered in Paudex, Switzerland alongside offices in China, Singapore, and the USA.
The highlight of the User Conference had to be the successful public launch of the Elios 3’s latest payload: the ultrasonic thickness probe. After an introduction by co-founder and CEO Patrick Thévoz, Flyability’s CTO Adrien Briod shared the story of the development of this payload with people in the room as well as a livestream with over 600 registrants. A UT payload has been a target for Flyability since the Elios 2, but it was the modular design of the Elios 3 that proved the perfect platform for a UT gauge.
Day 2 was dedicated for Elios 3 UT Payload deployment and training, Asset Management software briefing and more. A ton of information were discussed that will ultimately benefit our clients, Elios current and future users.
Last March 4 to 8 2024, Braamd Inc. attended the biggest and most successful Flyability event to date, the 2024 Reseller and User Conference in Lausanne Switzerland. The #FLyaUC brought together a community of distributors, service providers, inspections and surveying professionals from around the world. Players in industries like power generation, oil & gas, maritime, sewers, cement, mining and more gathered for five days packed with reseller and users agenda, networking, training, and to witness the much-awaited NEW payload product launch.
The 2024 User Conference hosted by Flyability in Switzerland was a roaring success. The event was initially advertised for 150 attendees, but ended up selling out with the final count tallying 180 people, 2 from Braamd. A busy Day 1 Reseller Conference occurred with networking, sales talk, marketing strategies, the apero with the sparkling Geneva Lake as the backdrop, and capped off with a wonderful lakeside dinner. The day's highlight is the successful product demo and deployment of the newest game-changing product from Flyability, the Elios 3 UT Payload.
Developed in partnership with Cygnus Instruments, the UT Payload turns the Elios 3 into a flying UTM gauge that can take accurate thickness measurements backed up with high-resolution A-scans in the most challenging areas. Equipped with the Elios 3 UT, industry professionals now can perform regular integrity inspections in minutes reducing the probability of unplanned downtimes.
User Conference included activities like keynotes, panel discussions, training, demos, best practices, and networking opportunities. All conference attendees were invited to join Flyability for a networking dinner at the beautiful Domaine de la Crausaz. This stunning restaurant is nestled in the world-renowned vineyards alongside Lake Leman - a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, attendees and the Flyability team mingled and shared ideas, and food, and got to test the Elios 3 UT payload in a tailored environment.
Flyability’s own Stefano Zampieri, product manager for the UT payload, explained that the payload has undergone over 100 days of testing in the field to prepare it for the market. He highlighted its unique features, including the articulated arm and cleaning module, that make it possible for the payload to operate in the challenging environments that the Elios 3 is designed for.
